Entre Rios' is a farmer group in the region of La Libertad, San Marcos with strong beliefs and practices in sustainable organic farming.
The majority of the members of this cooperative are refugees who fled to Mexico during the Guatemalan civil war. After the war they returned to the region of San Marcos and formed the community in La Libertad.
Coffee cultivation was not a part of life in the community when it was first formed. However, through hard work and technical assistance from different entities, this community has now formed into an organic coffee cooperative.
